A SICK DAY IN BED

Unfortunately, I've caught the flu. I should have went for a flu shot at the beginning of winter, as per my mom's insistence, but I'm stubborn. Alas, here I am, sick in bed for the next couple days. Instead of sitting around doing nothing, which is basically what I've been doing, I thought I'd share some of my sick-time essentials with you.

SONIA KASHUK BRUSHES

This post is going to be short and sweet, but I just wanted to share a new purchase with you all. I recently picked up a new set of Sonia Kashuk brushes. I'm a huge fan of Sonia Kashuk products, available at Target, and whenever their brush sets go on sale (about 1-2x a year), I pick up a set. These are the gold handled brushes and they have a wonderful, heavy weight to them. The Sonia Kashuk are probably my all-time favorite brushes, just because of the amazing quality and low price point. This set was regular $30 and was marked down to $15, along with a few other sets.

MARCH BULU BOX 2014

Bulu Box is another one of those monthly subscription services, but this time it's for health. There are two different types of Bulu Boxes, the standard box and the box for weight loss (which is the one I chose). It's a $10-per-month service that's designed to help you maintain or begin a healthy lifestyle, through healthy samples and snacks. This was my first Bulu Box, so my opinion on the service is based solely on this box.

EOS SHAVE CREAM REVIEW

Recently, I discovered my holy grail of shaving creams. Typically, I don't care that much about the shaving cream I use, but I decided to try this on a whim and I love it. I don't think I'll ever buy another shaving cream, now that I've started using this one. EOS was already a favorite company of mine (I love their lip balms and hand creams) and this just adds to my collection of EOS favorites.

CUTE BEDSIDE DECOR

I don't know about you all, but waking up in the morning is a struggle, especially on the weekdays when I'm forced to wake up at 7:30 for work. However, grabbing my phone, which I use as an alarm, off my adorable bedside table makes it a little more bearable. I'm a firm believer in surrounding yourself with beauty, whether cheap or expensive, and that's why I wanted to share my bedside table with you and give you a few tips for cute, cheap decor.

LOW CALORIE PIZZA BAGELS

I don't know about y'all, but I'm obsessed with pizza. Pizza has probably been my favorite food since I was a young child and I can never get enough of it. The major issue with pizza is that the calorie count is through the roof. Because I've been adopting a healthier lifestyle recently, in an effort to become more fit (and let's be honest, lose some weight), I've been making these low-cal cheese pizza bagels at least once a week. The best parts? They're inexpensive, easy to make, taste great, and are less than 200 calories!

WHAT'S IN MY SPRING MAKEUP BAG

As the seasons change, so do my go-to makeup products. I don't carry my makeup bag around with me everywhere, as I usually carry a small-medium sized purse, but when I do spend the night over at a friend's house or go out of town for a day or two, these are the products that essentially stay in my makeup bag throughout the spring.

FUJIFILM INSTAX MINI 8 REVIEW

I've been dying for an instant camera for ages and I finally decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8. I feel ridiculously nostalgic when using this beauty and I definitely get flashbacks to using a Polaroid instant camera when I was a kid in the 90s (why did my family ever get rid of that thing??). I've been using my new camera here and there and I wanted to share my opinions on this!

BATH & BODY WORKS CANDLE HAUL

My candle obsession is very real. I try to avoid buying candles, because I have so many, but I'm Bath & Body Works is having a sale on 3-wick candles (2 for $22) and it was an amazing value, because it's essentially buy one, get one free. Bath & Body Works sells some of my all-time favorite candles so I had to pick up a couple. The sale is only happening for a limited time, so pick up some candles while you can!

TOP 5 SPRING NAIL POLISHES

For me, spring is all about the pastels. Flowers are beginning to bloom and Easter is on it's way, providing the perfect platform to show off my favorite shades of nail polish. I wear pastel polishes all year round, because I'm obsessed with how lighter colors look on my skin tone, and I love when spring comes around so I can shamelessly outfit my nails in the prettiest pastels on the market.

WHAT'S IN MY GYM BAG?

I started going to the gym early this year and I've found some items that I have deemed  my own personal gym bag "essentials." I try to keep the extra, non-gym related items to a minimum, as I don't feel like carrying around a heavy bag with me every time I go to the gym (I typically walk, as it's only about 15 minutes from my house). I'm slightly obsessed with seeing what people keep in their makeup bags and purses, so I thought a little peek into my gym bag would be fun!

I wanted to share this super easy DIY memory jar that I've been keeping up with since the start of the New Year. I've seen several people show their versions of memory jars and I found that this method was the easiest and still looked adorable, with minimal effort.
