CUTE BEDSIDE DECOR

I don't know about you all, but waking up in the morning is a struggle, especially on the weekdays when I'm forced to wake up at 7:30 for work. However, grabbing my phone, which I use as an alarm, off my adorable bedside table makes it a little more bearable. I'm a firm believer in surrounding yourself with beauty, whether cheap or expensive, and that's why I wanted to share my bedside table with you and give you a few tips for cute, cheap decor.

My favorite things to adorn any little area with are books. Books are beautiful, functional, and provide a certain kind of vibe to your space, depending on the books you choose to display. Here I have The Satorialist, Normal Gets You Nowhere, Lauren Conrad's Style, and Mary-Kate and Ashley's Influence. Another nice touch to add to your table are little sculptures or decorative candles. I picked up my glitter skull and my skull candle from Target after Halloween, while they were on sale ($0.50 for the glitter skull and $2.50 for the candle). Another favorite decor item is my Fujifilm Instax camera (which I just reviewed). It's functional and adorable!

I love keeping my little DIY memory jar next to my bed, so I can remember to write down sweet little memories and daily happiness. Adding a pretty piece of jewelry, like my New York & Co. watch adds a pretty feminine detail to the table. I like keeping a pink valentine's, heart-shaped box (Nirvana reference, anyone?!) on my bedside table and filling it with some of my favorite makeup products or even candy sometimes! Lastly, I always have my iPhone sitting next to my bed, as I use it for an alarm. I'm obsessed with my current phone case that you can get for a few dollars on eBay!

What do you keep on your bedside table? Are you obsessed with keeping it organized or do you just let whatever lands on it stay?
